My wife has collected the Department 56 Village pieces for about 30 years. She still adds one or two pieces a year. Every Friday after Thanksgiving we would break out some folding tables and cover them with fake snow and neatly lay out the Village pieces. In 2020, she asked for a new platform to display her pieces on. This is what came of it. The lowest platform is about 5 feet in diameter and get smaller as they go up. I used SketchUp to get the proper proportions. The “trunk” is filled with surge protectors to plug the village pieces into. The bottom platform was nicely supported but I needed to add lighted dowels to each platform above it to support the weight.

Next year she wants me to make it rotate. HA! Challenge accepted. There is a 24 inch Heavy Duty Lazy Susan on Amazon that I may need to get.

MATERIALS: 1/2” plywood for platforms, 1x4” pine boards for trunk.
